ONE OF THE BIGGEST TRAGEDIES throughout the ages has to be dogma masquerading as information and knowledge. The unintended consequence of our education is a very limited frame of reference. We are blinkered to look in one direction and arriving there finding only one solution. Making a living comes down to going to school, getting a good education, and then a job. Uncontested beliefs land us in scary relationships and questionable choices. We forget there are many options to resolving things, and even more places beyond the wooden desks to truly learn the big lessons of life. The next big influence is politics, conditioning us to think that the government owes us everything we need to survive.
We are waiting for the government. We are waiting for God. We are always waiting for someone to come and help us take our life forward. We are waiting for everybody but ourselves. If things are not working, there is always someone to blame. The mindset of an African is generally that there is always somebody who will do something for me, to be able to move in my life, to be able to change. It's never me and what I need to do for myself.
My life experiences have taught me that your start doesn’t determine the end. I had a rough start and made it through some things that children should never see, hear, or feel. But through a momentous spiritual revelation and a miracle mother, I learned that vision, faith in an omnipotent God, and hard work you can do anything. Giving up was never an option. From being shunned by family and living on the streets to finding love and support from total strangers, all my dreams have come true. With a loving, protective husband and supportive children, I have achieved most of the dreams I had in life and today I live to help others do the same.
Challenging the status quo and static mindsets propagated through religion, customs, education, and unedited generational stories creates the space for renewal and to achieve what we never before imagined. We are in the business of abundance and supporting individuals and organizations to operate from a place where they can realize their full potential. When I was a little girl all I wanted was to escape to the big school at the end of the tarmac road that led out of the village. Through grace I found my dream and can continue this journey helping others to reach their big school of prosperity and abundance.
